Well I didn’t think I would feel like this. My best friend is leaving this beautiful place tomorrow to go and live in sunny Portsmouth.
It’s going to be hard not going round to see her whenever I want for a coffee or tea in my case. Blubbed again earlier and am now feeling pretty shitty about it all.
I wish them all the best in their new life, I know this is what she wants and I know that she will be happy. I love you very much.
I will see you soon, take care xx
Sat 18/05/07, I witnessed my friends get married yesterday. It was a beautiful ceremony and the Bride looked absolutely stunning and the Groom looked very dapper in his suit. There were a few tears mainly because the Groom started blubbing so that got us all going.
The ceremony finished and we were shunted outside to take photo’s, at the same time the heavens opened and decided to drizzle on us. Still it was very funny to see the Bride getting confetti shoved between her cleavage.
At 1pm we arrived at the reception, the room was decorated to prefection, with all the tables filled with balloons and party poppers, these of course were immediately popped by kids scaring the crap out of all the adults.
I was going to be sensible and when I got asked if I wanted a drink, I asked for a pint of Lemonade. The look that I recevied for that little comment nearly killed me there on the spot, I could feel all eyes in the room on me, so I opted for the usual pint. That basically paved the way for the rest of the day/evening.
Pint after pint was shoved in front of me, so being polite and all that I drank the lot. By the time 5pm came I was pretty much well on my way. I had also caught the sun on my back and shoulders quite badly, by being slightly tipsy I didn’t realise how bad I had caught the sun until I was informed.
Everyone was having a bloody jolly good time, drinks were plentiful the music was loud, and the Bride & Groom were having a blast.
The time came to say good night, (bearing in mind this was only about 10.30pm), too much alcohol had been consumed and the headache had started. But first I had to say goodbye to the Bride, I knew it would be difficult as she is leaving this beautiful town on Tuesday, but it was a lot harder than I thought. Tears started and couldn’t be stopped. So I said that I would see her on Monday so we could blubb in the privacy of her own home and not in front of all her friends and family.
At this point I was abducted and taken to the toilets to have a pep talk by a couple of girls. One I knew and had spent most of the day with, but the other I had only seen there but had not spoken to her. Very strange indeed. So with my banging headache we walked home, eventually got back and collapsed. It wasn’t too much longer that we crawled our way up to the bedroom where as soon as the head hit the pillow, we were sound asleep and in dreamland.
This morning wasn’t so good tho, I felt like I had been put through the washing machine on high spin and couldn’t see straight for at least two hours. Feel more awake now tho….
Don’t think I will be drinking for a while yet, well maybe till next weekend have a birthday party to go to. Oh dear next Sunday is going to be awful….

Don’t think thats too bad, especially being a girl!!
Finally got round to going to see Spiderman 3 last night and to quote and old and very much loved saying “I’m never going to get that time back” It was shit!!! Also because I was so excited about going to see it, it made it all the more painful to watch too.
It started off with a “previously on 24″ intro. Now don’t get me wrong I love 24 and it works for that show, but not for Spiderman 3. It then took ages for the plot of the film to appear (which once it got up and running there wasn’t much of anyway), it was all CG’d as well, which in a film like that you would accept. But in this case it was blatantlt obvious in some parts. You didn’t get to see much of “Spidey” flapping about during the day either. It was mainly at night, which means that they saved a heap of money.
I can’t see where they spent all that money on. Well maybe the big fan fair for Peter Parker. Plus the amount of shit actors that they had to shell out for. Especially the singing voice for Mary Jane (pmsl). There was a shit news reporter too, I’m guessing by the accent she spoke in. It was supposed to be an English accent (if not then my sincerest apologies). The acting was diabolical all round really. Very very disappointed.
The only good thing about it was the fact that we went to the Odeon and it was near empty so we could stretch our legs out when they got to cramped. It’s sad to say that the only thing that took my mind off of the shit on the screen was the pain in my ass. The seats as always were unbearable.
COME ON ODEON sort yourselves out! All you need to do is clean up the place, especially the floor in screen 1. I had to be yanked off the floor by a crane it was that sticky. Oh and make the chairs a bit larger aswell please, if it’s not too much trouble? Although there were only about 20 people in the cinema, it felt like I was sat next to all of them.
Odeon if your out there and reading this, (and please send answers on a postcard as to why you wouldn’t be) IF YOU DON’T WANT TO LOOSE ALL YOUR BUSINESS TO THE VUE THEN GIVE YOURSELVES A BIG KICK UP THE ASS!!!! You have been the most prominent cinema in Exeter for a long time and we would hate to see you go even more down hill. Dropping your prices obviously isn’t working well is it? I did notice that the staff were a lot more helpful and pleasant though, so that’s a good start. Lets just hope that if you get a lot of your customers back that these little but lovely changes will still stay in place.
Are you really going to give up so easily? Yes or no? Again answers on a postcard. Thanks.
Oh another added bonus was that the Odeon are only charging £4.50 a ticket!!! Bonza!!
Roll on Pirates of the Carribean. I nearly creamed my pants watching the trailer.
Sorry fans…:-)
I have been a little preoccupied what with life and my great new job en all….
Really enjoying it, the people are great and such a laugh feel like i have worked there for a 2 years instead of two weeks.
Part from that life is running pretty smoothly. I have a fantastic boyfiriend, great family (you know who you are) and a good job. Couldn’t really ask for more.
Sat chilling to Guns & Roses, with a nice cold beer. Perfick!!!!!
Love you guys…..
Two days in and the new job seems to be going well. The people there seem genuinely nice and up for a laugh, so that’s cool. They also seem to have their head screwed on business wise. Proper procedures are in place and work well.
My god a normal company.
Surely not?
One day left…..ahhhh bisto…
Then 3 days off lol
