My So Called Life…

I don’t believe this. I spent the last hour trying to get my HP iPaq 3870 to sync with my Win XP SP2 machine over bluetooth. I’m sure last time once I’d got it working over USB it just worked over BT, but now it won’t even do that. It does attempt to sync over BT but ActiveSync just has a wobbly and says no.

In sheer desperation I tried using the bluetooth network, knowing full well it’s never worked before, and wouldn’t you know it…

It’s now browsing all my network shares fine, although the PC still can’t see the iPaq, but I can deal with that. I can at least get data between them again. Hell, might even find it’ll sync over the network connection now, but I think I’ll leave that for another day…

Why is nothing Microsoft does ever simple?

After submitting a request for a callendar (Google call ref [#50701147] “Google Schedule?”) they’ve gone and put one together for me.

Google offers free Web calendar service. Just hope it will sync with my PDA and phone as I requested…

Damn it. I think I’ve lost my iPaq. I was hoping I’d left it at work, but no such luck. Gonna have to rip the house apart when I get home tonight.

Apparently I was on an early this morning too. Wouldn’t have minded an early, but without an iPaq to warn me, I was slightly late. Doh.

Anyone want to buy me an RS DV MMC card?

OK, time to start thinking about how to create a Blogger API for the Pocket PC, since the existing website crashes Pocket IE. This could take a while. Does anyone know Visual Basic and how to post a form to a URI?

Damn-it. Pocket IE keeps crashing, now I can’t blog remotely. Oh well. Blogger knows now, we’ll see what they say…

It’s taken me what seems like forever, but I’ve managed to update my pocket pc’s rom! Yet another microsoft service patch. Media player looks chuffing good though.
