Met a very nice man the other day. As nice as the day is long. The only draw back is that he charged me 16 quid to tell me he’d be charging me 44 quid to cut me (OK so he’ll technically be drilling into my teeth, but it’s all the same to me).
I’ve been toying with the idea of setting up a food blog. Keep track of everything that I eat and see if naming and shaming my diet can help me loose weight.
Would need to get a good set of scales first though.
And just perfect timing, looks like I’ve got a sore throat again.

God-damnit! I think I’ve got another Quinsey coming on. Can’t quite make it out with the crappy lighting in our loos, but have been feeling like I’ve had something stuck in my throat for a day or two and I can now just about make out a white bump (at least it’s not black this time).
Would be just my luck to come down with this and not be able to go and see my baby being born.
I can’t believe how crap and shoddy the NHS is. Toni was taken to hospital at midnight last night and told to go back at 8am for surgery shortly thereafter. It’s now 8pm and she still hasn’t been seen, and having been told not to eat anything has been started for 24 hours, so far…
So how exactly do we in about reclaiming our national health payments? This is just shit.
If I believed in the whole God thing I’d be cursing his name about now. A bank holiday weekend, with good lie in opportunities and I’m doing it alone. At least Toni has morphine to keep her company. I’ve still got all the easter eggs though.
We have a winner! It’s a Peritonsillar abscess apparently. If left untreated can be fatal! Cor-blimey Guvnor! Good job I got it checked out really, they think it’s what killed George Washington.

They also said that I’m the first person they’ve heard of that has removed their own, it normally requires surgery to drain and remove the abscess.

OK, so on Tuesday I felt a bit of a sore throat coming on, didn’t really thing anything of it at the time, had them before, and I’m sure I’ll have them again. By Wednesday it was getting a bit sore and I could feel my glands coming up a bit. A bit sore to swallow, but nothing unusual about that with a sore throat.
Thursday is another issue however, It’s now really fecking painful, my neck has got something the size of a golf ball lodged inside it and my throat is getting VERY red and it’s next to impossible to swallow anything.
Move on to Friday and after a whole lot of Aspirin I notice this:

Now I’m thinking a big black growth in the back of my throat is not normal. Anyone have any clue what this fucking thing is? Feels like an alien burrowing it’s way out of my throat.
Damn it. In all the battlefield excitement I forgot to cook dinner.
