For the last few days I’ve not been able to get steam running, it just sits at “Steam – Updating – 0%” and does nothing. It was allowing safe mode but after trying to reinstall it from the download it lost that too. One fix on the forums says to delete StreamUI.dll and try again, but that didn’t work.
In the end it turns out that Steam doesn’t like network bridges. Deleted the bridge and deleted my second network port and it went straight in. Finally!
Arrests in Half-Life 2 theft case and still no concrete release date. It’s starting to get boring now. If only my machine was stable, I could play some Tourny to pass the time.
Was looking through the BBC News site, they’re going on about the new games available this year, and I spotted FarCry. Check out the Trailer on the site, looks pretty sweet. Think Vietcong done properly, crossed with a Bond film (no, a film, not the games) with an amazing rendering engine. This will be the year of upgrades.
On an interesting side note, Halflife 2 has been pushed back again. It’s now set for release on April 2nd. I guess they though that releasing it on April Fools day would just piss us of after the joke which is it’s release schedule so far.

Fucking hell Charlie!
Having just played Unreal 2 I have to take my hat off to them boys in R+D. It’s bloomin’ amazing. The story is a little wierd so far, but hey, single player games have always been a little on the odd side. Just look at Half-life and the whole Zen thing, but hey that was a long time ago now and I forgive them. As for this piece of work, it’s time I stopped blogging and went back to ‘Hell’…
