Happy Birthday little man

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Two years ago Ryan was getting ready to make his big entrance into the world. Now he’s running around like a mad thing with a massive smile on his face, ripping open presents and cards with gay abandon, quite a change from the tiny little ball of wrinkles and legs that first presented himself to us all.

After breakfast we’re off for a fun (and hopefully tiring) day out to celebrate, but for now it’s Thomas T. Tankengine over toast.

Going to the chaple and we’re…

gonna get married! Yes you heard it right. Me and Toni are going to be getting married, hopefully some time this year, all things permitting. To that end I have now added a wedding section to this site which will eventually contain all the pertinent information you’ll need to RSVP and get to the jollies on the day.

It’s still a work in progress, so bear with us, there’s a whole lot of organising to be done…

Swinging around

Having a swinging time

Having a swinging time

Having late shifts can sometimes be used to our advantage, like this morning for example. Getting up at the crack of dawn we headed out to the park for a go on the climbing frame, the slide, the roundabout and of course the swings. Weeeeeeeeee!

All in a flap

Hello there

Hello there

What you doing out there?

What you doing out there?

This is called a cat flap. It’s a stupid thing, I can hardly get my head through. What good is that to anybody, I ask you? I snapped the door off shortly after this photo was taken and I wasn’t allowed to play with it any more. My parents are such spoil-sports sometimes.

Who crawls these days?

Well, since our last update the little guy is what I would consider upwardly mobile; IE: He’s standing up and wandering about the place causing all kinds of mischief (what else would you expect).

At the moment he’s still not quite walking unaided, but he’s racing up and down the hall with his walker at a rate of knots. Really has to be seen to be believed, he’s a little speed demon.

He has managed to take a few staggered steps, mostly trying to grab the TV remote I was holding just out of reach, before plonking back to earth with a thud.
